Jill Is Stable

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) learn that Jill is stable after her surgery, which saved her life.
Although her recovery will be lengthy, the family can finally breathe again.
Billy shares that Jill was happy to see him and feels confident enough to return home to his wife and baby, believing there’s time to mend their relationship.
In his relief, he heads to Victoria’s suite without calling first, despite her request for him to do so.
Cane, on the other hand, calls Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to share the good news and informs her he’s coming home.

Phyllis Interrogates Nick And Sharon About Matt
Phyllis interrogates Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) and Sharon about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) at Crimson Lights, receiving conflicting answers that reveal little.
Nick storms off, while Sharon stays and tells Phyllis that Nick is clearly hiding something about Matt’s whereabouts, suggesting they confront him together.
Phyllis prefers to move on, but Sharon doesn’t believe her.
Phyllis accuses Sharon of trying to guilt her, insisting that both she and Matt have moved on.
She recalls calling him after the crash, pleading for him to reach out, but he never did.
Phyllis And Sharon Are Suspicious
Phyllis is aware that Matt has returned, but Sharon reveals he isn’t at the clinic she set up. She fears Nick may have taken action on his own.
In a corner booth, Sharon speculates whether Matt has been hidden away, recalling Nick’s strong disapproval of her being Matt’s therapist, and admits she confronted Nick about Matt’s lack of communication.
She worries that stress may have impaired his judgment, and Phyllis poses the uncomfortable question: Does Sharon suspect Nick killed Matt?
Sharon declines to entertain that thought.
Phyllis is skeptical that pressuring Nick will yield results, confessing her fear of being drawn back into the situation.
Matt’s Departure Hurt Phyllis
Matt’s departure hurt her, and she worries that the man Sharon and Nick discuss is indeed back, which is why she needs to move on.
Sharon expresses sympathy for Phyllis’s pain.
Phyllis insists she’s fine, citing Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) support and the possibility of Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) forgiving her in time.
The word “fine” carries a lot of weight in that statement.
Sharon encourages her not to minimize her relationship with Matt, and Phyllis admits her desire to improve herself and hopes Matt is safe.
They both agree on one point: Nick must reveal what he has done.
Kyle Surprises Victoria With Coffee And Scones
Back in London, Kyle surprises Victoria with coffee and scones, inquiring about her feelings after her unsettling dream of Billy discovering them.
Although she is tempted to join him in Paris, she fears it might be tempting fate.
Just then, fate knocks at the door. Billy returns, prompting Kyle to hide, while Victoria opens the door and calmly reminds him that he was supposed to call.
After Billy shares his good news and expresses gratitude for her listening ear, he inquires about her return to town.
She admits she doesn’t know. As he starts to leave, he casually mentions that his nephew is in London.
Kyle And Victoria Almost Busted Again!
Victoria feigns surprise with the poise of someone who practiced in front of a mirror, leading Billy to conclude that Kyle must be there for her.
He begins discussing Vibrante, but Victoria reassures him that her presence has nothing to do with it.
Billy feels relieved and departs. Once he is gone, Kyle emerges from his hiding spot, and Victoria summarizes what Billy nearly witnessed.
They both express concern that Billy might start piecing things together, acknowledging that their situation is becoming more stressful and complicated rather than enjoyable.
Kyle embraces her and suggests it might be time to call it quits.
With Billy already coming dangerously close to discovering their secret, Kyle and Victoria may be running out of ways to hide their affair.
Nate’s Return To Medicine Is Celebrated
At Society, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), Devon Winters (Bryton James), and Lily come together to honor Nate’s career transition.
Nate feels it’s a bit early for such celebrations. Nevertheless, they raise their glasses to him, and the conversation flows with excitement about the cutting-edge equipment the hospital acquired after his departure.
Stephanie expresses that the entire staff is delighted to welcome him back, to which Nate acknowledges that none of this would be possible without her support.
He mentions needing to gradually return to surgery and get recertified. After kissing Stephanie’s hand, the rest of the table mirrors his expression.
The Group Continues To Chat About Nate’s Remarkable Skills And Compassion
They chat about Nate’s remarkable skills and compassion, as well as the promising future that lies ahead for him.
Abby recalls that Stephanie had a long-standing friendship with Nate’s mother, prompting an immediate shift in conversation from the others.
Once the meal concludes and Nate and Stephanie depart, Abby inquires why no one informed her about their relationship.
She expresses her happiness for them.
The group then ponders whether dating his new boss could pose a conflict of interest for Nate, but they quickly brush off the idea, faster than HR would.
Jill’s Health Comes Up In Discussion
The discussion shifts to Jill’s stabilization, and Devon notices his sister’s distracted demeanor.
Lily confesses that she misses Cane, and to her surprise, Devon responds with understanding.
He has come to realize that life is too fleeting to hold onto grudges, and if she and Cane share love, he is supportive of it.
She embraces him, and just then, her phone lights up.
It’s Cane, bringing the same good news about Jill and a plane ticket home. Lily thinks that’s wonderful, and she can’t wait to see him.
Nick Meets With Adam, And He’s Concerned
At the GCAC, Nick meets with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who speculates whether Matt has been confined somewhere and hopes he suffers there.
Adam then shifts to what truly concerns him. He expresses to Nick that he feels a bond with Ruby Spectra Abbott (Reign and River) and a strong desire to protect her.
Nick reassures him that the baby is well cared for, but Adam remains uncertain after learning that Billy has gone to London.
Nick reminds him that Billy’s mother was dying. Adam expresses his concern that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) might be struggling as a new mother, mentioning that he showed her how to burp the baby.
Nick questions whether that created any awkwardness, but Adam doesn’t believe so.
Nick advises his brother to avoid seeking out trouble. He’s proud of Adam’s actions but insists it’s time to move on.
With Adam’s growing attachment to Ruby already becoming a concern, Nick may have good reason to warn his brother against getting too involved.
Meanwhile, Billy’s potential reaction to Adam spending time with his daughter could create even more tension once he returns to Genoa City.
Annemarie’s Take
Well, Kyle and Victoria certainly got lucky again! But how many times can Billy show up unexpectedly before he finally puts two and two together? I have a feeling their secret romance is becoming more trouble than either of them expected.
I’m relieved Jill pulled through her surgery, and it was nice seeing Devon support Lily and Cane. But Adam’s attachment to Ruby is starting to worry me. Nick gave him some good advice, and I hope he listens before Billy gets home and things really explode!
