Abby And Devon Talk About His Trip, And She Tells Him She Thinks She’s Pregnant

AMP in the post

At Society, Abby greets Devon Winters (Bryton James) with a kiss, leads him to a table, and listens as he raves about working with The Articulettes.

She says she and Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor (Ethan Ray Clark) have missed him, then updates him on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) rough patch since Sally’s baby arrived, thanks to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Then Abby shares the real news: she’s been nauseous and can’t stop wondering if she might be pregnant.

Devon gently reminds her that pregnancy shouldn’t be possible, but Abby says others with her condition have had children.

They head to the hospital for a test.

Abby’s Not Pregnant

In the OB-GYN’s office, the test is done, but they’re still waiting.

The doctor says pregnancy is possible, and Devon, who never imagined this moment, watches Abby picture Dom as a big brother.

When she asks how he’d feel, he says he’d love it; they wonder if it could be fate and go to check the lab results, hand in hand, trying not to get their hopes up.

The result isn’t what Abby dreamed of, and her disappointment is clear; she admits it was fun imagining another Winters in the world.

Devon suggests a walk and a visit with their son before they discuss her dizzy spells, which have been lingering in the background.

Claire Threatens Audra

At Crimson Lights, Audra spends her free time needling Claire about Holden Novak (most recently Nathan Owens).

Claire vows to take her down.

They begin on opposite sides of the room before Claire corners Audra and presses her about her crimes.

Audra isn’t rattled; she reminds Claire that everyone in the conversation has a criminal record, “cupcake” included, and warns that taking her down would bring Holden down too.

Audra suspects Claire is threatening her because Holden has lost interest and tells her to get it over with. Claire retorts that her aunt taught her everything she knows.

Audra pointedly asks what Claire thinks she’d do to her if she’d kill an art dealer for money.

Sally Smells A Rat

At Sally and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) place, Adam suggests Sally take the baby out so Billy can hit him; Sally says there’ll be no punches, and Billy insists violence isn’t on his mind.

Adam leaves, and Billy cradles the baby until she falls asleep.

Afterward, Sally asks why he confronted Adam, saying it only stirred up the daughter Adam lost and sent him straight to her door.

Billy hopes Adam gets help and assures Sally they’re fine, but she can’t understand why he keeps claiming he’s okay.

As soon as Billy leaves, she calls Audra to recap.

They marvel at how calm Billy was, a less-than-reassuring quality in this town, and Sally begs Audra to promise their marriage is perfect and Billy isn’t backsliding.

She fears he’s shutting down, as he does before watching, waiting, and making a move.

Audra insists he won’t do anything, but that only convinces Sally someone is hiding something from her.

The tension between Billy and Adam has been building, as seen in CDL’s coverage of Sally’s response to their showdown.

Phyllis Is At The GCAC, Being Phyllis!

Welcome-back drinks at the GCAC are less welcoming than advertised.

Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) are greeted by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Phyllis immediately tells Cane he should thank her for taking Arabesque to new heights.

Everyone ignores her, while Cane and Lily walk away—the polite equivalent of making the room smaller.

Phyllis sits with Lauren and says this is her chance to gain real control and power, promising they’ll leave Newman behind.

Michael And Daniel Muse About Whether It’s Too Late To Leave Arabesque

Meanwhile, Michael and Daniel sit near the door, quietly weighing whether it’s too late to leave Arabesque; Daniel vows to move forward with the proper caution.

Then Michael loudly calls Phyllis a nightmare, prompting her to charge over for round two.

He reminds her that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gifted her Arabesque and warns her not to provoke the bear.

Phyllis declares she’ll kill the bear and turn him into a bearskin rug.

When they suggest that healthy competition is its own reward, she gags, exclaiming, “Oh, barf! Barf!”—a reaction worthy of its own ringtone!

Phyllis Thinks She Needs To Make A Big, Impressive Splash

Phyllis thinks she needs to make a big splash to impress Victor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow); convinced her ex doesn’t believe in her, she sees no point in anything less than a dramatic move.

Daniel reminds her that her partners aren’t obligated to agree with her every time; respect goes both ways, and she needs to hear them out.

Phyllis insists that taking a shot at Victor is non-negotiable.

She plans to get ahead of him so he can never take advantage of her again.

Nearby, Cane and Lily share a salad until Lily is called away and Billy shows up.

Phyllis has been planning a bold business move for some time, including her explosive Arabesque relaunch plans.

Cane And Billy Talk About Jill, Then Billy Rushes Off

Cane and Billy talk about Jill Abbott (most recently played by Lauren Koslow) and the baby until Lily returns, prompting Billy to rush off.

Cane admits to Lily that he suspects Billy is plotting something.

Meanwhile, Billy is on the phone rescheduling a meeting; Cane says he doubts Billy will ever give up Chancellor, but Lily isn’t concerned.

Back at Crimson Lights, Billy runs into Audra, who says she’s just been with his wife and that Sally is upset.

He promises to go home after his meeting.

Audra And Billy Continue To Talk Until Adam Shows Up—And Takes Private Investigator-Type Pictures!

Audra finds his composure strangely unsettling and warns him not to mess things up with her friend.

Billy nods like someone who’s already messed up the calendar.

After Audra leaves, a lawyer shows up, and Billy insists their meeting remain secret until Chancellor is his.

They discuss the fastest way for him to take control—one that needs to look as if it simply landed in his lap—because nothing says “accident” quite like a lawyer, a scheme, and a table outside a coffeehouse.

Then Adam arrives, notices the two of them outside, and begins snapping photos.

Annemarie’s Take

I feel terrible for Abby after she got her hopes up about another baby. Meanwhile, Billy’s secret meeting has trouble written all over it! Sally already suspects something is wrong, and now Adam has pictures. How long before this blows up in Billy’s face?
