Nick Newman’s Twist
Let’s start off with Nick, who went back to rehab after watching (and saving) Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow). The act scared Nick enough that he called Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to come get him from the seedy motel.
Back in rehab, Nick will have to decide how Marie is included in his future, if she’s in it at all. The lady went as far as to find Nick in treatment. So, she either targeted the Newman, or sincerely wants to thank him.
Addict’s Intentions
I am worried about Marie’s husband, though. The lady makes him sound powerful and dangerous. That means Nick could be for a rough recovery if he messes around with the wrong lady!

Fresh Starts Interrupted
The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of August 17 suggest that Matt will continue trying to get a fresh start. However, that’s going to be easier said than done as long as he stays in Genoa City.
In any case, Matt and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will continue to bond. However, I do worry about why Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gave that company to Phyllis in the first place.
Recoveries & Changed Fates
Over with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), he will likely meet with a surgeon to discuss the chances of him going back into medicine. This sounds like a breakthrough treatment, so the risks might not be known.

It could give Nate his career in medicine back, or he could end up with complications.
While Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) says she will run the family empire on her own, that could come with its own complications.
Meanwhile, I’m worried about Devon. While this liberal arts college sounds like a great project, I do worry about everything happening so big and so fast.
Devon already having a list of professors when he hasn’t even broken ground could indicate a mental health crisis.
What Else to Expect
As for what else to expect, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) growing attraction could create some family feuds, so stay tuned!
