Y&R Spoilers: Nick Gets Reeled Back In

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) had a waking Scrooge moment at the Ranch. After being skillfully drawn to the family homestead by his mother, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick made peace with his dad.

Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) subsequent comments were the humblest he has offered in recent memory. Telling Nick that he was the better father helped to reestablish good family ties.

Unless something changes, Victor is on good terms with all four of his children. That is noteworthy and allows his focus on remain on bringing perceived justice to Billy-boy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Begins Turnaround

Nick is too old to be acting like a bratty boy, with the wink implied regarding Victor’s incessant tagging of Billy as that. So, talking matters out with his dad was good for all involved.

Morrow’s character has a point when he talks about Victor playing games with his children. With whatever may unfold in the future, the head of the Newman clan is getting along well with Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle), Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

It is wise for Nick to release angst and recognize his dad’s position in life. The talk they had, where Victor compared himself to the late Albert Miller (played by the late, great George Kennedy), and then himself to Nick, was brilliant and honest. Doing so impacted Nick’s perspective.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman Is Who He Is

Victor did not sidestep Nick’s comments about being controlling. The admission about Victoria and Adam voicing similar concerns was telling.

Braeden’s character recognized that there was truth in what Nick was saying. Nick’s acknowledgment that he shared some harsh traits with his father allowed both men to understand why tension was natural between them.

Nick understands that his father’s early days in the orphanage and how he founded and built Newman Enterprises will always bleed into how he handles family matters.

Victor wants a grand Christmas celebration this year. Nikki’s help, in orchestrating the father-son talk, enables that to happen.

With Newman Enterprises merged with Locke Communications and Newman Media developing, a clear focus on the Newman family welfare is possible.

Hopefully, peace holds through the upcoming season. As for the new year, this is Y&R, so drama is sure to revive.
