Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has always been pretty hard on Adam, even as he claims he has “defended” him and treated him well his entire life. Instead, it has been nothing but stress and chaos, which usually ended up with Adam being shunned as the black sheep of the family and going down the wrong path.

We saw in a preview that Adam will tell his father, Victor about the new job with Jack. This is going to rub Victor some kind of way, as he watches his son go to work with his oldest, best, enemy. I can easily see Victor getting very upset about this, and wanting to do something about that.
Adam may want to his head on a swivel because I don’t think Victor is going to stand for this and will do what he can to make sure Adam doesn’t keep his job at Jabot. There is a small chance that Victor will be happy that his son has found a place to be free and do his thing, but I don’t think that’s what’s going to happen.

Victor is going to come for Adam’s job. He can’t leave his son alone to do his own thing! He has to be in every facet of his life and if it means getting him fired or cooking up some crap to make sure his work life is stressful, he is going to do it!
He cannot let Adam be his own man or do the things he wants, HE IS A NEWMAN, and must act accordingly. Ironically, the best thing that could have happened for Adam might turn out to be the worse because Victor is going to make sure he pays for it.
In the tiny, small chance that Victor lets him flourish at Jabot and do his own thing, Adam will excel, but I don’t see that happening.
