‘Y&R’ Spoilers Weekly Update May 4-8: Matt Slithers, Michael’s Control, Claire’s Bold Move

The Young and the Restless spoilers are in for the week of May 4, 2026. Expect Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to slither back in Genoa City.

Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) tries to do damage control. Plus, Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) makes a bold move. Keep reading to find out what is coming up in the CBS soap opera.

Sienna Bacall Grilled

Let’s kick off this post with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). The woman claims not remembering much, but that Matt is definitely dead. Of course, the man is not dead and it’s still not entirely clear why Sienna let him go free. 

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has doubts, too. The woman will interrogate Sienna, trying to get to the truth. Sharon’s gut is telling her that Matt is still very much alive, and she’s right. 

Matt Clark Slithers

Speaking of Matt, he slithers back into Genoa City. The man is likely headed to the Newman family. However, what does he plan to do, and which one will he target first? Once the Newman family finds out that Matt is alive, Sienna is going to have a lot of questions to answer!

Nick Newman’s Behavior

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of  May 4 reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was forced to confess his addiction. While he did mean sobriety at the time, things change later in the week. 

Nick will confide a secret to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is concerned about Nick’s change in behavior. Sounds like he takes some more pills despite what he’s telling everyone.

What Else to Expect

As for what else to expect, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) refuses to apologize to Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters). 

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is forced to set boundaries with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). The only boundary with Patty is NO boundary, though!

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) confronts Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Meanwhile, Michael and Phyllis try to do damage control. However, we know from the preview clip that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) gets arrested.

Elsewhere, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) tries to negotiate with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) backs Phyllis into a corner. 

As for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she quizzes Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani). Plus, Claire makes a bold move to support Holden Novak (Nathan Owens).
