Big Sky spoilers and updates tease that season 3 wrapped up and with that, many of the storylines. Emily Arlen (Cree Cicchino) and Denise (Dedee Pfeiffer) were taken hostage by Buck Barnes (Rex Linn) and fans were really worried that the two women were going to become Buck’s next two victims.
Thankfully, the ladies were rescued and finally returned home to their families. Although many fans felt that Sunny Barnes (Reba McEntire) may have had a hand in Buck’s thirst for women’s “hearts”, Buck was acting on his own when their customers went missing. In the end, Buck was shockingly shot dead by Sunny and that was the closure of the unsolved murders in the mountains.

Big Sky Updates – Will There Be A Season 4?
It’s possible the show will return, but not guaranteed. Fans were so excited at the end of season 3, it was an hour of murder and mystery and the ending of many storylines. According to executive producer, Elwood Rei, “we’ll be in the same situation we were in last year—on the bubble, waiting to hear from ABC about whether they want more of this. I think the thing that excited me about this season was calling it Deadly Trails and telling one story and then adding the crime of the week. I think it’s a really successful formula for the show that we finally found.”
So, it really comes down to ABC, do they want Big Sky, or can they replace it with something that drives in bigger ratings? Elwood went on to say that they have many more incredible ideas and one in particular that would be fun and big, that would involve many of our fan-favorite characters.
Fans love the show and are eager for a fourth season. After the season 2 finale, it did take ABC some time to come back and renew the series, so maybe it is just that, a matter of time.
