Blue Bloods Season 12 Starts Filming

The cameras have begun shooting scenes for season 12 of Blue Bloods.  But surprisingly, given that Blue Bloods ranks on top of the Friday night ratings lists, few spoilers have leaked.

We do know that several key cast members will return, including Donnie Wahlberg portraying Detective Danny Reagan and Will Estes playing Sgt. Jamie Reagan.

But can it really feel like a Reagan family dinner without Tom Selleck at the head of the table in his role as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan?

We think not!  So just in time to halt our fears, a Blue Bloods filming sighting got photographed. And (drumroll) the photos from the filming show that Tom Selleck is back in his Blue Bloods uniform! 

From his famous mustache to his tinted sunglasses, Selleck gave his full attention to filming a scene in New York City, reported the Daily Mail.

The 76-year-old star wore his traditional blue bomber police jacket, striped tie, and white shirt. A blue cap bearing a gold insignia matched the jacket. 

When Tom took time out from filming, he changed into a dark vest.  Selleck has suited up for his Blue Bloods role beginning in 2010.

In addition to playing the police commissioner and head of the Reagan family, the actor took on roles in Boston Legal, Friends, the movie Three Men and a Baby, the film In & Out, and of course Magnum.

Who Else Stars When Season 12 Of Blue Bloods Debuts?

Now that Blue Bloods fans can give a sigh of relief about Tom Selleck’s return, get ready to find out who will join Tom.  Plus: When will season 12 premiere?  CBS has revealed that Blue Bloods will debut season 12 on Friday, Oct. 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Joining Tom Selleck are Bridget Moynahan portraying Erin Reagan, Len Cariou playing Henry Reagan, Marisa Ramirez as Maria Baez, and Vanessa Ray playing Eddie Janko-Reagan. As noted above, Donnie Wahlberg will portray Detective Danny Reagan and Will Estes returns as Sgt. Jamie Reagan.

In addition, CBS has unveiled select cast members who will play recurring characters on Blue Blood. These stars include Abigail Hawks taking on the role of Abigail Baker, Gregory Jbara showing the challenges faced by DCPI Garrett Moore and Robert Clohessy returning as Lt. Sid Gormley.

In addition, look for Steven Schirripa to play Anthony Abetamarco and Peter Hermann to portray Jack Boyle. Andrew Terraciano will reprise his role as Sean.  Be sure to check back on our site for all the news about Blue Bloods!
