Blue Bloods Season 12 Spoilers – Donnie Wahlberg Tweets Blue Bloods Season 12 Filming

With photos of Blue Bloods filming season 12 offering clues, actor Donnie Wahlberg took time to confirm the rumors on Twitter.

Wahlberg posted a response to Entertainment Tonight’s published photo, including the caption that read, “@DonnieWahlberg & @MarisaMRamirez are back at work on the new season of @BlueBloods.”

But rather than respond to the rumors about his co-star Marisa, Donnie wisely kept his reaction tweet simple.

“We are. #BlueBloods,” tweeted Wahlberg.

Thanks, Donnie, but can you share a tad more about what the future holds for Detective Danny Reagan?

In lieu of clues from the actor himself, fans eagerly responded.  And seeing Detective Danny Reagan in that official outfit, complete with polished badges, turned into a fan-girling from the actor’s followers.

“@DonnieWahlberg That Danny Reagan gets hotter every season doesn’t he?” gushed one fan.

“Yes!! Fire!” responded another.  Now that we know fans agree that the good detective is  hot, let’s see what we can find out about his chances of romance this season!

Blue Bloods Season 12 Spoilers – Danny Reagan’s True Love Awaits Close To Home On Blue Bloods?

One season 12 challenge for the Blue Bloods writers and producers resides in the intersection of Danny Reagan’s personal and professional life.

Because fans have voiced hopes that Danny will find lasting love with his co-worker Detective Maria Baez (played by Marissa Ramirez), we think season 12 could bring us a turning point in his romantic life.

And Blue Bloods viewers have seen similar setups.  For example,  Sgt. Jamie Reagan (portrayed by Will Estes) and Officer Eddie Janko (played by Vanessa Ray) charmingly became engaged as part of the Blue Bloods story line.

But the issues facing the writers about a possible romance between Baez and Reagan are two-fold.  First, we know that Blue Bloods has shown that colleagues who find love cannot work professionally as partners.

That would mean the writers seeking a way to keep Baez active in the show while playing out her romance with Reagan.  Second, the working relationship between Danny and Maria has become exceptionally strong. Could and should Blue Bloods writers sacrifice what works to try out a potential romance that might fail?
