Blue Bloods Spoilers: Danny And Baez Roller-Coaster Continues

Blue Bloods: Danny Reagan And Maria Baez Blue Bloods successfully followed the sweet, slow romance between Jamie and Eddie, and their marriage flowed perfectly into the plot. Now some Blue Bloods viewers feel that the writers have turned the relationship between Danny and Baez into a confusing roller-coaster.

After so many Blue Bloods seasons, are producers and writers on the verge of jumping the shark? Read on to see the possible reasons why Danny and Baez tying the knot might derail the plot.

Blue Bloods: Jamie and Eddie (Jamko) Are the Perfect Couple…Do We Need Another?

Television dramas tend to follow certain predictable themes. There’s blood (and we’re talking real bloodshed, not the kind that’s meant by the Blue Bloods title), suspense (every Blue Bloods episode incorporates at least one mystery to be solved), and, ah yes, there’s romance.

The problem occurs when writers try to overdo one of these elements in an effort to move the plot. And by season 11, we’re thinking that Blue Bloods just might be on the verge of giving us a tad too much romance in the form of Danny and Baez.

We loved Eddie Jenko and Jamie Reagan’s romance. As CBS points out, #Jamko, as the duo is known, has given us all kinds of happy feels.

Writers and producers succeeded in weaving Jamie’s and Eddie’s growing friendship into a love affair. The engagement and marriage seemed to flow naturally.

But when it comes to using the same basic plot for Danny and Baez, it’s just not working.

Blue Bloods: Why Ruin Danny and Baez’s Relationship with Romance?

As the Reddit Blue Bloods community agreed, recent episodes of the TV show have featured an increasing number of supposedly romantic moments between Danny and Baez.

“It looks like they’re hinting that they may eventually go down the romantic path,” pointed out one Reddit member. “I actually liked that Jamie and Eddie got married, but another partnership that leads to romance on the show would be a bit much.”

And it’s not just the flow of the plot that’s problematic. The fun bickering between Danny and Baez have brought humor and a certain edge to Blue Bloods. A permanent romance ending in marriage could complete the “jump the shark” tendency that the writers have shown.

Would marriage signal the end of Blue Bloods?

“I love the show…but it does seem like they’re kind of running out of creative steam. Not many shows can last 11 seasons on a Friday night, and I know it won’t be on forever,” agreed another Reddit member.

We’ll hope that the bell doesn’t toll for the end of Blue Bloods… or a problematic “oh look, another marriage” scene involving Baez and Danny!
