Blue Bloods Spoilers – Here’s A Brief Recap Of The Season 11 Finale
To refresh Blue Bloods fans’ memories, here is a brief recap of the two part finale of Season 11. The two Blue Bloods episodes in question were called “The End” and “Justifies The Means”. Danny had been the first of the Reagan family members to discover that his nephew, Joe Hill (Will Hochman) was working a dangerous undercover operation for the ATF, or Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Recently the real life bureau has added explosives to the things they watch over, although they have not changed their initials to the ATFE.
Of course in the back of his mind was that Joe could meet a similar fate to his father, Joe Reagan (uncast character) who was killed by a member of a dirty cop organization called “The Blue Templar”. Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) was nearly killed in the process of trying to bust the remaining Templar members and take them down for good.
Danny came face to face with Joe while their assignments intersected, with Jamie, who knew about Joe’s assignment worried that his cover had been blown, putting him in extreme danger. The Reagans banded together, and Danny and Jamie saved Joe from being killed, and in the final episode he was again sitting at the Reagan Sunday dinner table. It remains to be seen whether Joe will be a regular going forward in Season 12.
Blue Bloods Spoilers – Donnie Wahlberg Revealed Filming Has Begun For Season 12
In a recent Instagram post Donnie confirmed that he is back to the grind, as he put it – and grateful that Season 12 of Blue Bloods is underway, filming-wise. Of course coming from a man who likes a good joke and plays a cop, we can’t be sure if the “grind” refers to filming or coffee, but since Blue Bloods’ Instagram account has announced the premiere date as October 1, we can forgive Donnie for any possible crime of pun-ishment! Many viewers have been shipping Danny and his partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) for a romantic relationship, considering Danny’s been widowed long enough for it to be proper to move on.
But then, his grandfather never remarried after Danny’s grandmother died, and neither did Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), although Frank’s had a couple of girlfriends during the history of the show. Neither one panned out for a wife for Frank, however. It may just be a Reagan family tradition for widowers never to remarry, although Danny and Baez seem to share some attraction between each other.
It could, however, be sort of a tradition for the younger Reagans to fall in love with either police partners or in Erin Reagan-Boyle’s (Bridget Moynihan) case, legal partners or perhaps legal opponents. Blue Bloods viewers will recall that Erin’s ex-husband, Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann) usually serves as a defense attorney, while Erin is the assistant district attorney. They seemed, however, to be on the road to reconciliation in one episode where they were going on a vacation together! Jamie met his wife, Eddie Janko-Reagan (Vanessa Ray) when she became his police partner as well. So one never knows!
