Blue Blood Spoilers – Danny Reagan Has Been Single For Quite Some Time Now

As Blue Bloods viewers know, Danny has been single for quite some time now, unexpectedly having been widowed a couple of years ago when a helicopter his wife Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson) was in was sabotaged and she died in the crash. Fans have noticed that the show seems to be leaning towards a romance between Danny and his partner Maria, and that he has some feelings for her. But they are divided over whether the two should start dating or not. Danny’s first partner was also female, Jackie Curatola (Jennifer Esposito) was his partner for the first three seasons of the show.

Jackie had taken a leave of absence from the force when she realized work had taken over her life. In real life, what happened is that the actress wanted to change her schedule and could only work on a limited part-time schedule – it later came out Esposito had some health issues. CBS quickly replaced her with Marisa Ramirez as Danny’s new partner Maria Baez, with a few random partners for Danny in between. Since Linda Reagan’s death, Danny has been focused on raising their two sons as a single father and solving cases at work. But he has been getting more attached to Baez, and seems ready to tell her how he feels. Danny showed his protectiveness over Baez in a recent episode called “More Than Meets The Eye”.

In the recent episode “More Than Meets The Eye” Danny and Baez had been continuing a hunt for a serial killer. However, Baez seems to act more like Danny than herself as she went into dangerous situations on her own throughout the episode. She caught the killer, but Danny’s protectiveness really showed when he asked her never to go out on her own again. She wanted to know why, since he does it all the time. Danny told her she didn’t want her to be like Danny Reagan, because he likes Maria Baez! More than meets the eye, indeed! In the next episode, called “For Whom The Bell Tolls” Baez found a dead man in her front yard who she had been dating and things became very awkward when Danny asked her about him!

The episode ended with Baez revealing to Danny that she felt awkward about telling him she was dating someone, for some reason. That is why she didn’t tell him, and he admitted he felt awkward too. Baez told him maybe that can just be enough for now! Fans are very divided over the possibility of Danny and Baez falling in love! The show’s Instagram account had a photo of Danny and Baez sitting together outside her home, and the fan comments were all over the place!

Many begged the powers that be to not make them a couple, one citing a ham and cheese sandwich had more chemistry! Another loved them as partners, but not as love interests. They didn’t want the Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) and Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) storyline repeated with Danny and Baez. Others are all for it…feeling Danny has been single long enough and deserves to be happy even if it is with his police partner. They think they’re adorable together and would love to see them become a couple!
