Blue Bloods Spoilers – A Possible Franchise Extension?

During a chat with fans back in July, the actor hinted at the possibility of a Blue Bloods franchise extension that CBS might be planning.

While he admitted he doesn’t have any official confirmation, he mentioned that there are some “things in the works” and expressed a sense of optimism.

Filming for Blue Bloods concluded in July, and the concluding episodes of Season 14 Part 2 are scheduled to be broadcast on CBS from October to December on Friday nights.

While appearing on what looked like the stage of a New Kids on the Block concert, Wahlberg answered various fan inquiries, one of which touched on Blue Bloods.

Longtime fans and followers of Donnie will recall that he and his brother Mark Wahlburg were original members of the 1980s boy band and Donnie is still active.

When a fan inquired about the last season, Wahlberg shared, “We’ve wrapped up what seems to be the final season of Blue Bloods, set to premiere in October. There might be more in store after that, but I don’t have any official details yet-there are definitely some exciting possibilities on the horizon.” This news sparked cheers from the audience, and Wahlberg continued, “You know I’ll be involved in projects after Blue Bloods, no matter what happens.”

On the last day of filming the police drama, Wahlberg delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing his astonishment that the show was truly coming to a close.

After the uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, which nearly derailed the series, he admitted it’s tough for him to grasp that they’ve actually reached the end.
