Blue Blood spoilers and updates reveals fans of the CBS show are concerned over the fate of Detective Maria Baez (actress Marisa Ramirez) as several recent events point to the actress possibly leaving the show for good. Baez has been part of the Blue Bloods family since season 3, playing the partner of Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg).

Recently Baez has had a difficult time working a case with Danny involving a serial killer who prays on women with little family or anyone that cares for them. Striking a chord with Baez, the normally level headed detective has been putting herself in dangerous situations.

As of late, she approached the killer alone and ended up with a plastic bag over her head as he attempted to kill her. Luckily, Reagan saved his partner and gave her a pep talk after she shared regret that she didn’t kill him.
Somehow it seems we may see this killer again. Could he get off and come after Baez? Or is his case the one that will break Baez sending her on a reckless and dangerous path? Either way, Blue Bloods’ Baez just isn’t acting herself.

There is also a recent scene where Baez sits down with the Reagans for family dinner. As fans know, this isn’t a normal occurrence for the law enforcers family who normally keeps their weekly binding sessions to blood only. Is this the beginning of the end for Baez?

The actress herself also revealed in a recent interview with Pop Culture that returning to her home state of California would be a dream, so to speak, and an opportunity she wouldn’t squander.

Blue Bloods – California Could Be Calling

As Blue Blood fans know, the series is filmed on location in New York city so the series will likely lose Ramirez as a regular if she decides to end her run after 8 seasons.

“I mean, California is my home. My family is there. That’s where my heart is,” she said. “And any opportunity to go back to California, I’d take. I had such an amazing time on General Hospital.

Ramirez went on to add, “It’s such a beautiful learning experience and so many amazing people there. I mean, who knows what could happen? I’m open to anything, but I think that might be here a little while longer, so we’ll see.”

Blue Bloods is definitely keeping fans on their toes when it comes to the future of all the characters, particularly Baez this season.
