Blue Bloods Spoilers Season 11 Episode 8: Erin Feels Overpowered, Jamie Causes A Standoff and More

Blue Bloods spoilers tease that there will be more than meets the eye in the next new episode of Blue Bloods, set to air this Friday, after a two week hiatus. Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) will find herself scrutinized by the new District Attorney Kimberly Crawford (Roslyn Ruff) whom she previously competed with for the new job. Plus, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) will have had enough of the paparazzi when he arrests an intrepid but intrusive reporter who shows up at store lootings.

Blue Bloods Spoilers – Erin Reagan Is Feeling Smothered

Erin feels smothered by all the “attention” her new boss is giving her. In reality, DA Crawford is the one new at her job who should be supervised, but instead Crawford is over-supervising Erin like she’s on probation. Erin is concerned that all the unwarranted shadowing could lead to unexpected problems for her, such as the ability to do her job being questioned, as well as her ethics. She worries that because she is a Reagan, Crawford as well as others she speaks to may think the only reason Erin is there is because her father is the police commissioner, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck).

There have been allegations of favoritism and too many Reagans in the New York Police Department and the legal system in the past, and they all have had the hard questions. Erin tries hard not to let her confidence be undermined by DA Crawford as she feels under the microscope, but at the end of the day, her former competitor is making her very nervous! It’s like she is trying to prove herself all over again in her career, and her job, that she has been at for many years.

Worst of all, here comes Crawford checking up on Erin just as she is trying to convince a very nervous eyewitness to tell her the identity of the person who shot her boyfriend! Erin has enough of Crawford when she accuses the Reagans of operating in a corrupt manner, but she keeps up the surveillance routine and the accusations.

Blue Bloods Spoilers – Jamie Reagan Has Eyes On Him Too, From Call To Call To Call

Meanwhile, Jamie has been responding to a series of calls involving store lootings. But he’s not the only one who has been responding; an extremely intrusive reporter has been showing up at every single call on a looting as well. The reporter seems to have an inside track on these lootings, or does the reporter simply have a citizens’ band radio tuned into the police frequency? The reporter gets in the way of the investigations but Jamie cannot just arrest without just cause. Could the reporter be in on the lootings, there as a distraction, or is the reporter just a pest who could be obstructing justice?

Finally Jamie has had enough, because this reporter is obstructing the investigation, and asking too many questions. He puts the pesky paparazzi under arrest! This leads to Frank becoming involved in a standoff with the Attorney General over the press’s first amendment rights. Also, a serial killer who previously held Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) hostage resurfaces and they have to keep an eye on their backs! They perform surveillance from a distance, hidden in a surveillance van but they never know when the killer might come out of nowhere to finish the job!
