Stella Kidd And Kelly Severide’s Future

Stella and Severide have gone through a lot of ups and downs but the pair managed to stay together. Viewers may recall that Severide made an unusual proposal in the middle of a four-alarm fire, but it was a fitting scene for the pair. With the season finale set to air next week, May 26, fans are wondering if something awful will happen to the pair.

It’s unlikely for Severide to leave the show. Does this mean Stella will be leaving? Severide knows how it feels to lose a loved one. Will the showrunners be that cruel and subject him to another painful loss?

Chicago Fire Showrunner Issues Fair Warning

Derek Hass, the executive producer of the show told ET Online that “If you watch the last 10 minutes, you might be cursing my name all summer long.” It’s a warning that fans can’t ignore. Losing Chief Bowden will deal a huge blow to the show. “Chicago Fire” will never be the same without him if he leaves.

Hass also said, “The last two episodes really are as big events as you can get in Chicagoland.”

“We really looked at them as two gigantic” installments with “a bunch of storylines coming together and some real finale trauma, for lack of a better word,” he added.

Fans can expect the season finale to be “like one of the [past finales] that we’ve done, where there is some major spectacle happening. We didn’t get to do it last year, because the pandemic ended our season on, really, a pretty basic episode.”

“So this year, we’re pulling out all the stops… For the last 10 minutes, it took writing it way back in January so we could get prepped for what we’re going to do. It’s quite a production,” he teased.
