Fan Calls It “Bad Optics”

“It is bad optics to renew a bunch of shows and leave the remaining hanging. Like this should be a no-brainer. #SEALteam employs hundreds of veterans front & behind the camera, it’s a renewal for them more than anything 🇺🇸 #renewSEALteam #SEALteam,” one fan said.

Boreanaz also posted a photo of him with a fan, who’s in the hospital and captioned it, “Real vets are the real heroes behind CBS ‘Seal Team.”

“Let’s keep it going @cbstv Thank you to all the fans and veterans’ for the support and love for this show. @sealteamcbs #ReNew this show. #NeverOutoftheFight,” he said in the caption.

The fate of the series remains uncertain. Fans still have to wait for CBS’s decision whether or not they would renew the show for its fifth season. “Seal Team” follows the story of an elite unit of Navy Seals and their personal and professional lives. Aside from Boreanaz, the other cast members include Toni Trucks, A.J. Buckley, Max Theriot, and Neil Brown Jr.

Uncertainty Over SEAL Team’s Future

The “SEAL Team” has four seasons in total. In the most recent season, two of the series regulars exited the show, Jessica Pare and Judd Lormand, reportedly as part of the show’s cost-cutting measures.

The “SEAL Team” has an average of 4 million viewers per week and a demo rating of 0.5. The show’s executive producers are Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, Christopher Chulack, and Spencer Hunt.

The show is only one of the series produced by CBS Studios. Unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the most recent shows that were renewed for a new season, which were Magnum P.I. (for Season 4), Blue Bloods (for Season 12), Bull (for Season 6), and S.W.A.T. (for Season 5). Aside from “SEAL team,” the other series that are still on the bubble are “The Unicorn,” “United States of AI,” “All Rise,” “B Positive,” NCIS: Los Angeles,” and “Clarice.”
