The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will air on CBS on Friday, June 24 and it promises to be much different than the Emmys of the past two years while the world dealt and still deals with COVID-19.
The Emmys In 2020 And 2021
Remember two years ago in 2020 when the Daytime Emmys finally made it back to network television after being streamed only for several years and it didn’t feel like an awards show at all? Instead, it seemed like nothing but yet another Zoom meeting so many of us were sick of as presenters presented from home and performers accepted their awards from home or another such place deemed relatively safe from COVID.
While the 2021 Emmys definitely had more of an awards show feel, it was not really live at all. In fact, the red carpet photos were all staged and taken days before the awards aired and all nominees taped acceptance speeches and CBS just aired the one from the winners. So, all nominated performers had to do their job and act because they did not know they had even won when they held that trophy.
The 2022 Daytime Emmy Presenters
This year, the Daytime Emmys are set to get back to normal and do it all in style with a star-studded list of presenters and a host of soap opera veterans who received nods. As always, not all presenters are soap stars as the Daytime Emmys honor all American daytime television programming. Following is a complete list of presenters.
