Dexter Spoilers – The Ratings
The rating continuously grows as it is averaging 7 million views every week hailing it as Showtime’s most-streamed show of all time. The 3.4 million views of Season 7 and Season 8 of the original series are what “Dexter: New Blood” is trying to match.
As the finale will air on January 9 next year, a lot has been asking about more installment in the future. Gary Levine, Showtime’s President of Entertainment, addressed the idea with Deadline during their recent interview: “Dexter: New Blood’ is a limited series and any further discussions of “Dexter” will have to wait until we finish airing the limited series and see where we are with our stories and our characters.”
“Dexter: New Blood’ was really designed to have a proper conclusion to the series, and I believe we will deliver that in the best possible way,” he added.
‘Dexter Spoilers – New Blood’ Star David Zayas Shares Thoughts about Dexter Morgan’s Storyline
“Dexter: New Blood’s” Angel Batista expressed his thoughts regarding the serial killer, Dexter Morgan’s fate in Showtime’s series.
David Zayas, the actor who plays Angel Batista, was Dexter’s former co-worker at the Miami Metro Police Department. They have built a strong friendship throughout the show until Dexter moved out from Miami and started fresh in Iron Lake, New York, under the name of Jim Lindsay.
The iconic serial killer put an end to his bloody job the moment he ventured into a new place but it seems like Dexter is back on his game when circumstances from his past bother him. It will all begin when Dexter gets to encounter Iron Lake’s Matt Caldwell, who is also a serial killer that usually targets runaway women.
When asked if Dexter must be caught and put into jail, David Zayas told Entertainment Weekly: “That’s a difficult question to answer, but I guess I’m going to say that ultimately truth is going to set you free so I would say yes.”
