Ellen Burstyn Reprises SVU Role On Law & Order: Organized Crime

Law & Order Spoilers – Ellen Burstyn’s First Appearance On Law & Order Franchise

Burstyn debuted her role as Bernadette back in season 10 of Law & Order SVU. She made her first appearance after Elliot’s daughter, Kathleen, got arrested for driving under the influence. It was later revealed that Bernadette is bipolar and nearly killed Elliot when he was a kid.

The details about her return are being kept under wraps. Perhaps she’ll visit Elliot as he tries to deal with his grief following the unexpected and violent death of his wife, Kathy. Burstyn’s SVU performance landed her a Guest Actress Emmy award. Her other acting credits include House of Cards, Big Love, and Political Animals.

Law & Order Spoilers – Vinnie Jones And Ron Cephas Jones Joins Cast

The news of Burstyn reprising her role as Bernadette follows the casting of The Big Ugly’s Vinnie Jones and This Is Us star, Ron Cephas Jones. Vinnie Jones will take on the role of Albi Briscu, an eastern European gangster while Cephas Jones will portray Congressman Leon Kilbride.

Aside from This Is Us, Cephas Jones stars in Apple TV+’s Lisey’s Story alongside Julianne Moore and Apple’s Truth Be Told with Octavia Spencer. Meanwhile, Vinnie Jones has appeared in more than 25 films including the X-Men franchise where he played The Juggernaut. He also appeared on Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels.

Law & Order Spoilers – OC’s Return Date

Law & Order: Organized Crime is created by Dick Wolf. It follows the story of Elliot Stabler as he returns to the NYPD to fight organized crime following the untimely death of his wife, Kathy. He’s been away for a decade and so many things have changed in the city and police department. Now that he’s back on the job, he needs to adapt to today’s criminal justice system. Stabler and his team take on New York’s most powerful criminal syndicates while rebuilding his life after a deep personal loss.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is scheduled to return for its second season on Thursday, September 23.
