Max Theirot Gives Insight Into What His Character Will Be Doing On the Crossover

‘Fire Country’ will return this week with a special episode that will be a cross between the hit CBS show ‘Fire Country’ and its upcoming spinoff ‘Sheriff Country.’

Per the official synopsis, the episode titled “Dirty Money,” will focus on “Bode and his aunt, Sheriff Mickey Fox” as they investigate the attempted murder of her estranged father, Wes Fox.” The episode will air Friday at 9 p.m. ET.

The Friday, April 4, episode will mark the return of the show since mid-march. Last we kept up with Bode, his parole officer had checked in on him to confirm why he’s been associating with known criminals.

Thieriot shared that the new episode is going to “dive right into what he was talking about and see who he was talking about specifically. I know a lot of people were sort of left going like, ‘Oh my gosh. What is he doing now? He’ll go back.’ But we’re gonna get to unpack that a little bit.”

Apart from figuring out what Bode’s motive is for associating with criminals, fans will also get to meet the new characters that will lead the spinoff series.

“We get to meet some new faces and dive a little deeper into the Sheriff Country world and Sheriff Country side of Edgewater,” Thieriot teased.

“So, there’s definitely some different texture to this episode that we’re used to seeing in a really wonderful and exciting way, but in a way that sort of emphasizes what Sheriff Country is gonna feel like.”

While the spinoff will officially premiere sometime this year, its lead Morena Baccarin’s Sheriff Mickey Fox’s appearance on this week’s ‘Fire Country’ will be her second time.

Mickey comes with a few baggages of her own. For one, her father Wes, played by W. Earl Brown, is described as a “ne’er-do-well dad,” who runs an illegal marijuana business right under his lawman daughter’s nose.

To sum it up as Baccarin says, Mickey’s “moral compass… will be tested over and over” by her father.
