Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons on The CW, the network aired the final episode in May 2000 and was so wildly popular that Netflix actually picked up rights to the series and streamed a reunion season back in 2016.
The hilarious drama followed single mom Lorelei as she navigated being the mother of a nerdy and unique teen girl in a small Connecticut town. While raising Rory alone, Lorelei also juggles her complicated relationship with her wealthy parents and running a small Bed and Breakfast.
Gilmore Girls fans fell in love with the charming characters on the series, and watched Rory grow up over the years and navigate high-school, college, and her career.

According to a new report, the always popular series is coming back to the small screen in August 2025. TV Line reveals, “Gilmore Girls will join the Hallmark Channel lineup, beginning Monday, Aug. 25. Episodes will air weekdays from 2-6 pm, and weekends from 8-10 am.”
It’s actually funny because over the years fans have always compared the town of Stars Hollow to the locations we see in Hallmark Channel movies. Rory and Lorelei Gilmore will fit right in on the network. So far there is no news on which seasons the network will start airing.
