Grey’s Anatomy has been on the air for over two decades, and in that time, fans have seen characters come and go, and come back again; however, a new report reveals and unexpected character comeback, that has been 17 years in the making! “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 21 Spoilers – Welcome Back, Sydney Heron
As per Deadline, Sydney Heron, played by Kali Rocha, will return to the ABC series during Season 21 for a three-episode run.
Heron debuted on Grey’s in Season 2 during episode 15 as a fourth-year resident set to fill in for Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson). Sydney returned for five shows during Season 3, and two more episodes for Season 4. Her final show with the drama occurred in November 2007.
“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 21 Spoilers – What Fans Should Expect From Sydney Heron’s Return?
According to reports, Rocha will not only have scenes with Wilson, but also share time with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo).
As most fans know, Pompeo is also set to return to Grey’s for seven shows in Season 21, despite her character’s resignation. It’ll be interesting to see the reason why Heron is coming back and what her storyline will entail.
However, as of this writing there is no other information about Heron’s arc, or any other details surrounding Season 21.
In addition to her Grey’s stint, the actress has had roles in Man with a Plan and Liv & Maddie as well as recently appearing in Showtime’s Waco: The Aftermath.
Grey’s Anatomy, Season 21 is set to premiere on Thursday, September 26 at 10 p.m. (ET), on ABC. Grey’s shows will be available to stream on Hulu, the next day.
