The series was successful worldwide and also performed exceptionally in regions with a higher Spanish-speaking population.

Given that exceeding the first 30 days in Netflix’s top 10 lists is crucial for renewal, The Snow Girl surely hit the mark. It remained among the top 10 shows for a total of 31 days. The show also ranked in the top 10s in the United Kingdom and the United States for two weeks.

The show’s renewal news was confirmed by the novel’s author Javier Castillo on Twitter. In his post, he wrote that he had been eager for weeks to inform his fans about the show’s renewal and had been having a hard time keeping the news a secret. He also informed that he would partner up with Netflix Spain and work on another two of his novels’ TV series adaptations.

As per reports, The Snow Girl is currently under pre-production, and we can expect the show’s premiere on Netflix sometime in January 2024.
