Here’s Everything We Know About The Upcoming ‘Abbott Elementary’ Season 3

The season finale of “Abbott Elementary” season 2 kept viewers on their toes in wait for season 3 especially after seeing the long anticipated romance that has been brewing between Gregory Eddie, (Tyler James Williams) and Janine Teagues, (Quinta Brunson) get confirmed with a kiss. Anyway, stay with us while we give you all the juicy gists about the upcoming season 3.

As for the returning casts, every cast that was featured in both seasons 1 and two — Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and William Stanford Davis, will be returning for season 3. As for the other guest stars like Taraji P. Henson, Ayo Edebiri, and Monterroso Mejia, it’s still uncertain whether they will cameo in the upcoming season.

Remember that season two ended with Gregory confirming his feelings for Janine, but Janine was in a dilemma on whether to start a relationship with Gregory. Before the show ended, Janine made the decision to stick with herself and leave everything relationship for the meantime.

With the way season 2 ended, showrunner Patrick Schumacker told TheWrap, “As to season 3, we definitely had an opportunity, because we were ahead a little bit even at the end of the year, that we were able to start talking about bigger picture ideas before we wrapped the writers’ room.”

Abbott Elementary — Release Dates, First Looks Etc.

“Abbott Elementary” season 3 will premiere on ABC on Friday, February 7, 2024, with two episodes out of a total of 14 episodes which the entire season will air. According to “Deadline” the show began working on its third installment in late November 2023 after the end of the Writers’ and Actors’ strikes.

A teaser for season 3 was uploaded exclusively by “PEOPLE” in December 2023, and it featured Janine showing off the school to a male parent, “This is an excellent school and your children are learning.” The trailer didn’t give out information about what to expect.

In January, another trailer emerged. This time it featured a more different Principal Ava saying, “I went to Harvard this summer. I’ve learned what it truly takes to do the job of a principal.”
