Jason Antoon is putting all your wildest fears about the fate of “NCIS: Hawaii” to rest. The strike is already enough for a TV show to deal with, and now when you mix in a disastrous fire that’s destroying property and claiming lives, the outcome becomes bleak.

“NCIS: Hawaii” Star Says Show’s Filming Location Is Different From Those Affected By the Wildfires
It’s quite hard for anyone to miss the news of the wildfires sweeping through Hawaii, destroying properties and displacing people. Many families have had to leave their homes and some others have been reported missing.
While the fires are dying down, there’s no doubt the aftermath will not clean itself up in a day. Couple that with the fact that the environment will not be the same after the level of damage the fires inflicted, and you can just picture how much the wildfires will have disrupted things.
However, even though many locations on the island are damaged, the show was never supposed to shoot at any of the affected locations.
Replying to a fan’s concerned tweet about where the show will film following the fire’s widespread damage, Antoon, who portrays cyber intelligence specialist Ernie Malik on the “NCIS” spinoff, said, “mostly on Maui and the Big Island.”

So once the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are resolved, there’s a big chance the next season of the show will immediately enter production.
In the meantime, there’s a lot to look forward to with Season 3 of “NCIS: Hawaii.” For one, fans can welcome Sam Hanna on “Hawaii” after he said goodbye to “NCIS: Los Angeles.” LL Cool J is reported to be among the recurring characters on this upcoming season.
At the moment, no one knows how many episodes the new season will have, especially since the strikes could cause the production team to cut down on episodes.
