Is Chicago Fire Season 11 Taylor Kinney’s Last Appearance

It’s a bittersweet day for fans of NBC’s “Chicago Fire.” Taylor Kinney, who has played the role of Kelly Severide since the show began in 2012, is temporarily leaving to focus on personal matters. This means that viewers will have to say goodbye (for now) to one of their favorite characters and actors.

It has been a wild ride for Taylor Kinney on Chicago Fire. After 10 seasons, the actor is set to make his temporary last appearance in Season 11 of the show. Taylor Kinney has been an integral part of the show since its debut eight years ago as one-half of fan-favorite couple Kelly and Stella Kidd (played by Miranda Rae Mayo).

He also was instrumental in developing his character over time – from a hotheaded firefighter with a dark past into someone more mature and responsible while still retaining his signature wit, charm, and good looks. His performance earned him two nominations for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor at People’s Choice Awards between 2015-2017; he won it once in 2016!
