Survivor began as an unprecedented TV experiment. And now, decades later, the competition hosted by Jeff Probst has succeeded in staying strong. But Probst has also found ways to outwit Survivor fans.
And now, for the first time, the Survivor host has created his own podcast for the show. But in true Probst style, he didn’t want to wait to share a teaser with his fans. Check out the podcast trailer and get more details about it below.
Jeff Probst – Shares Survivor Podcast Teaser
What happens when Survivor host Jeff Probst gets an idea? He quickly translates it into reality. And after thinking about the potential for a Survivor podcast, Probst turned to Twitter to share a trailer teaser (check it out later in this article).
Because CBS agreed that Survivor host Jeff should host the first official Survivor podcast, the network has helped Probst to publicize it. And watch for On Fire With Jeff Probst to premiere on all major podcasting platforms on March 1. The podcast will begin after the conclusion of the two-hour Survivor 44 premiere on that date, according to EW.
On Fire With Jeff Probst will air new podcast episodes each Wednesday. And Probst will time his new episodes to the end of each Survivor episode. “I’m very excited to share that for the first time ever in 22 years we’re doing an official Survivor podcast,” shared Jeff in his teaser announcement.

Survivor Spoilers – Podcast Will Let Viewers Go ‘Deeper’
However, Probst doesn’t want Survivor viewers to think of his podcast as a recap. Instead of repeating or summarizing what happened in the last episode of Survivor, the podcast will offer something new, promised Jeff. “It’s cooler. We’re going to go inside the making of Survivor from the producers’ point of view,” he explained.
As a result, Probst envisions the podcast as showing Survivor from the angle of “how we do what we do.” And it also will reveal “the why we do what we do. I think of it like a companion piece to the show. You watch an episode of Survivor, and then you listen to the episode of the podcast,” clarified Jeff. “And we’ll use that as a jumping off point to take you deeper into the show.”
However, in another new angle, Probst plans to respond to fan questions. And he hopes that fans “will feature a deeper connection to the show,” added the Survivor host. “Because we’re going to use each episode as a jumping off point to take you inside the art department or the casting process.” For instance, the podcast will reveal how they chose someone for the show and why the idols exist.
“It’s something we’ve thought about doing in years past,” admitted Jeff. “And this season of Survivor is so good it just felt like the perfect marriage, the perfect time.” But fans won’t need to wait long to determine that for themselves. Survivor Season 44 debuts on March 1, 2023.
