Kate Walsh Teases Very Intimate Episode On Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s AnatomyGrey’s Anatomy spoilers and updates tease that Kate Walsh returns to the show’s season 18. The actress teased that the upcoming season will have a “very intimate” episode.

Fans may recall that she played the role of Addison Montgomery, Derek Shepherd’s (Patrick Dempsey) ex-wife in the longest-running primetime medical TV drama. Her character was first introduced at the end of season 1. Walsh’s character was a fan favorite. She stayed for three seasons until her character left for Los Angeles. After leaving Grey’s Anatomy, Walsh reprised her role on the show’s spinoff, Private Practice.

Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers – Addison Montgomery Bonds With Amelia Shepherd

Walsh reprises her role in the episode Hotter than Hell. The actress teased that her alter ego will bond with Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone).

“It was a total pleasure for me, and I think the fans will appreciate it too. It’s a completely different kind of episode from the first, but intensely intimate and satisfying,” she said.

“For years and years, there wasn’t an interview that I’ve ever done where someone hasn’t said, ‘So fans are wondering, will you ever go back to ‘Grey’s’?’ And so, I did, Walsh added.

Season 17 focused on the global pandemic and Meredith Grey’s struggles when she contracted COVID-19. In season 18, the show will be set in a post-pandemic world. It’ll also welcome the return of many iconic characters.

Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers – Kate Walsh’s Exit From Grey’s Anatomy

In a previous interview with TV Guide back in 2007, Walsh revealed that she felt excited and a bit hesitant when she was first presented with an opportunity to star in a new medical series. The actress shared that she was shocked, excited, and blown away by the offer.

Walsh said she was thrilled mostly because she felt that it was the right move. She’s “flattered and honored” for being given such a privilege to bring her character to greener pastures. The actress recalled that her co-stars on Grey’s Anatomy were also very happy and supportive. Private Practice ran for six seasons and ended in 2013.

Since then, the actress has kept herself busy with other projects. She starred in the top-rated series 13 Reasons Why seasons 1 and 2. She also had recurring roles in other Netflix shows, such as Emily in Paris and The Umbrella Academy.
