Kelli Giddish Set To Return To Law And Order SVU Season 26

Law and Order SVU Spoilers: Looks like Kelli Giddish will be reprising her role as Amanda Rollins in season 26 of the hit NBC Series. Fans will be excited to know that after her exit in S24, her return for a guest appearance in S25 was well received.

She’ll even be teamed up with Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) again! But as ecstatic as we are, it seems that now Rollins’s role has changed within the force.

She no longer works with the SVU Unit so much as the NYPD Intelligence Unit, executive producer and Showrunner David Graziano explained that it “is very different from the Intelligence Unit anywhere else, because the Intelligence Unit in New York has cops stationed in almost every country in the world, and so, Rollins is going to be traveling a lot as part of that job.”

Confirmation from fellow executive producer Julie Martin confirmed the news, “Rollins is definitely coming back to the show.” Graziano gushed, “She’s coming as a guest star, and she’s going to make a bunch of appearances throughout the season. We’re really happy about it.” and they’re not the only ones!

Peter Scanavino’s character, Dominick “Sonny” Carisi is going to get quite a workout as a Dad in the upcoming 26th season as well! He will be home with three kids and that will be quite interesting to watch as it unfolds.

Graziano went onto say, “We’ll see Carisi and his daughter get involved in something together that they’ll kind of have to work their way out of.” woops, sounds like hijinx to us!

Granted, it’s not usually the kind of hijinx that the series is known for but we’ll accept a break for character development’s sake. It’ll be interesting to see these two have some special father daughter bonding moments.

So often, the family lives of these types of characters kind of fall by the wayside, it’ll be interesting to see how these two handle the absence of Rollins’ character throughout the season.

Law And Order SVU Spoilers – When And how many?

Even though Rollins is out globe-trekking it looks like she is slated to be in more than one episode of season 26, which definitely will make the fans happy.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the number of episodes yet, nor when her debut will be, but at least we’re getting her part-time (though the fans agree full time would be better).
