Christopher Meloni Says He’s Trying To Make Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler’s Relationship Romantic
What’s the status of Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson and Christopher Meloni’s Elliot Stabler’s relationship?
The duo’s friendship has been one for the books since the show debuted in 1999, and even though Benson is over at SVU doing her own thang currently, the writers never cease to give us cases where their worlds collide.
For example, the last few episodes of both SVU and OC have thrown these two together, nearly giving us the spark we’ve been craving for years. Even though ‘Organized Crime’ has moved over to Peacock, the crossovers will continue.
Is it possible that any of these crossovers could see our favorite characters make out? The wait is getting to some fans, with one character lashing out online, “for f— sake, kiss her already!”

Can Meloni really change nearly 30 years of non-romantic relationship? Should we even hope on this or is Meloni pulling our tails? Gah… This is not easy.
As we all know, Stabler lost his dear wife a couple years ago and has been married to his work since. But certainly it’s time to move on.
If a burn actually develops between the two friends, they could literally make the list for the slowest burn in a TV show. Whilst they care for each other and look out for each other, I don’t really think the writers want to make it anything but platonic.
Anyway, while Meloni keeps trying for the day his character will smooch Benson, the star has signed on to appear in a new Hulu show. However, if Peacock finally renews ‘Organized Crime,’ his schedule should be able to accommodate both.

Law & Order: SVU Season 27 is set to premiere on NBC on Thursday, Sept. 25, before moving to Peacock the next day.
