Law & Order: SVU fans were excited to see Kelli Giddish reprise her Detective Amanda Rollins role this past Thursday, October 17 during Episode 3, Season 26, of the show, which was titled, ‘Divide & Conquer.”
Giddish left the show as a series regular in 2022 when her character married ADA Dominick Carisi Jr. (Peter Scanavino) and left the SVU to teach at Fordham University.
While Rollins has guest starred on the drama here and there (later in Season 24 after she left and two shows in Season 25) the explosive comeback in Season 26 has created a ton of buzz among viewers.
Law & Order: SVU, Season 26 Spoilers: Is There More To This Guest Star Appearance?
The reunion between Rollins and ex-partner, Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) was heartwarming on Thursday’s episode, but fans can’t help but feel as if there is something more to all this.
Especially in light of the fact that Kelli Giddish told Entertainment Weekly that this won’t be the last time fans see her character in Season 26. She notes that SVU viewers will see Rollins again in a show that will be “out of the ordinary”.
It’s hard not to speculate that increased appearances on SVU’s Season 26 might set the stage for something big for Amanda Rollins.

Giddish also recently sat down to chat with The Hollywood Reporter. When the subject of a spin-off was brought up, the actress noted that she’s loved doing business with ‘The Wolf Camp’ and they know how to make a solid show.
She adds, “I really think this [intelligence bureau] is an awesome take, and a new thing that hasn’t been explored. Hearing the true stories of the people that are actually in these positions, it’s the most interesting stuff I’ve heard in a very long time. My interest is piqued.”
