Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Spoilers – The Team Gathers In The Squad Room After Taking The Report

The preview begins with the team gathering in the squad room around Tamin’s computer, with her, Benson and Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice T) all looking at it after taking the initial report. Nicole Harper, an activist tells them that her sister missed Sunday dinner and that she must be in trouble. She thinks it is due to her activism against hate groups in general and white supremacists. On the screen is a video of a man in a mask holding a woman, with his hands on her neck and her mouth stuffed with a rag. In the background appears to be a logo, the top of it showing the word “Crew” and the man and his hostage obscure the bottom word.

Over the two words can be seen a confederate flag, and this is obviously human trafficking as the man clicks a remote of some sort and speaks on the screen, indicating that the bidding starts now! It seems to be an online auction of human beings held against their will! As Fin and Benson exit the squad room, Fin tells Benson that it is a hate group trying to make a name for themselves.

Another Law & Order SVU scene of the kidnapper holding the victim down on the floor appears on the computer screen, as Nicole briefs Fin and District Attorney Dominic Carisi (Peter Scanavino) further on what she knows about the hate group, saying they are white supremacists and fearing for her sister’s life, screams they are going to kill her, as Benson also appears in the background.

Benson begins the search, with Fin by her side, as the group leader and kidnapper, still in a mask, says there are two hours left as one of them checks the site on a smartphone. Benson, Fin, Garland, and a group of backup police converge on the suspected site where he is holding her as Benson draws her gun and says, “Let’s move!”

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Spoilers – Katriona Tamin Gets Good News

Fin takes Tamin on a walk and she asks him is he ever going to tell her where they are going? Fin responds that it’s a surprise. She wants to know where Phoebe Baker (Jennifer Esposito) is, and Fin tells her she’ll meet them there. He says if she’s going to be a detective, she needs to learn to ask smarter questions. Surprised, she asks him wait-what? Fin just smiles at her. Then he congratulates her, tells her she got her promotion and they’re meeting Phoebe to celebrate.

He tells her to act surprised and tell the captain how much she learned from her! This is something Tamin has been working towards for a long time and is excited about. Also in this episode, Barnes and Benson push for changes with the New York Police Department top brass, hoping to convince them that these changes will improve crime statistics and effect better methods of their jobs.
