1. Dirty Little Secret

Plot:
According to Futon Critic, the plot involves Lucy (Boys), a 17-year-old who avoids any kind of friendship. It turns out she is embarrassed by her family’s secret – the fact that they are hoarders with the house filled with items from floor to ceiling.
Lucy just wants to hang in and see things through until she leaves for college, which is her escape plan. However, the teen now has to look after her mother, Joanna (Hart) who is suffering a hoarding disorder. While Joanna is a nurse and outwardly seems to be a balanced person, she exists in a dysfunctional world. Her condition is the result of a tragedy in her life. Will Lucy manage to hide her mother’s secret, or expose it to the world?
Lifetime News – 2. Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story On Lifetime
Cast: Candace King (Vampire Diaries), Michael Roark (Beauty and the Beast), Jackson Hurst (The Mist) and Wendie Malick (Young Sheldon).

Plot:
While most of the Ripped From Headlines movies are based on headlines, Suitcase Killer is based on a shocking true story. Melanie McGuire (King) used to be an exceptional fertility nurse, married to her former Navy husband, Bill (Roark) and the loving mother of two boys.
However, things get complicated when she falls for Brad (Hurst), a doctor at her clinic.
Now entangled in a steamy affair, Melanie does the unthinkable. She first drugs her husband, then murders Bill, dismembering him and placing the body parts in three suitcases. Melanie then throws the suitcases into the Chesapeake Bay, but when they are discovered in Virginia Beach, an investigation is launched leading directly to Melanie as the prime suspect.
With the aid of Assistant Attorney General Petti Prezioso (Malick), authorities eventually bring the fertility nurse to justice. However, as she is being convicted, Melanie continues to maintain her innocence.
Lifetime News – 3. He’s Not Worth Dying For
Cast: Robin Givens (Riverdale), Hilda Martin (Our Christmas Journey), Rachel Boyd (The Bold Type), Lachlan Quarmby (A Very Merry Bridesmaid) and Lochlyn Munro (Peacemaker)
Premiere date: Saturday, June 25, at 8 pm ET.

The next movie in the Ripped From The Headlines franchise is He’s Not Worth Dying For. Meanwhile, the movie is based on true events. The plot involves the real and social media lives of Isla (Boyd), a 19-year-old girl who has established herself as a beauty and fashion influencer. It also involves Grace (Martin) the expected valedictorian of her class who has hopes of a veterinary career.
While both teens are very different, without knowing it, they share one thing in common, Jake (Quarmsby). Without their knowledge, he is dating both women. However, when Isla and Grace find out that Jake is cheating on them, they don’t turn on him. Instead, they jealously turn on each other.
Both teens use their social media platforms to attack and badmouth each other. Following this, their followers take sides and pit both of them against the other. Tragically, their hatred for each other escalates into a real-life fight that turns deadly.
Lifetime News – 4. Jailbreak Lovers On Lifetime
Cast: Catherine Bell (Good Witch), and Tom Stevens (North To Home)

The final Ripped from the Headlines movie for Summer 2022 is Jailbreak Lovers. The movie is Bell’s first return to Lifetime since Army Wives. Toby (Bell) is a woman who has always played by the rules. In fact, she has never run a red light, she married the one and only boy she ever dated, raised a family and went to church regularly. In other words, she is a good girl, doing all the right things in life.
However, when she loses her job, she starts a non-profit to rehabilitate abused and rescued dogs at the local prison. No one ever saw it coming that she would end up on the run with her younger lover, John (Tom Stevens), a convicted murderer. Meanwhile, the lovers come up with a plan to break John out of prison, while smuggling him out in one of the dog crates. Interesting to note, that the movie is based on a true story that created a federal manhunt.
