Linda Hunt Returns In NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13

NCIS: Los Angeles spoilers and updates tease that Linda Hunt will get more screen time as NCIS Supervisory Special Agent Hetty Lange in the upcoming season of the show. The actress had limited appearance in season 12 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Linda Hunt’s Absence Explained

Fans may recall that Hunt only made a few appearances last season. In a previous interview, executive producer R. Scott Gemmill revealed that Hunt was away a lot more in season 12 because of COVID-19 and they wanted to keep her safe. The actress appeared in a few NCIS episodes where she was supposed to be in the Middle East. But the truth was that she shot her scenes in her driveway. Fortunately, Hunt got all of her COVID-19 shots and she’s back on the show.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 – Linda Hunt Gets More Screen Time

Hunt is thrilled to be back on the NCIS Los Angeles set especially after several months of not being able to interact with anyone. She feels good about coming back to work, according to Gemmill. He also hinted that the mission Hetty had gone to last season would “probably” be revisited.

NCIS: Los Angeles Spoilers – Hollace Killbride And Hetty Lange

NCIS viewers saw more of Gerald McRaney as retired Navy Admiral Hollace Kilbride. The actor has been promoted to series regular, which means his alter ego will finally butt heads with Hetty in the coming season. Gemmill described both characters as “smart and stubborn” and expects them to be,

“Kilbride outranks Hetty, but he does respect her, even if he disagrees with her methodology and [sometimes] questions the cost of her successes,” Gemmill said.

He also teased that both characters may be old friends but they’re no longer as friendly as before. They will have a heated argument about the failed mission back in season 12. At first, Hetty tries to fix the problem on her own but it will eventually involve the entire team, which will infuriate Kilbride.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 – 2 Major Characters Leave The Show

Everyone is excited to see Lang back especially since NCis fans will see more of her this coming season. Her return may be good news but viewers will still miss Eric Beale and Neil Jones, since the portrayers of the characters, Barret Foa and Renee Felice Smith, have finally exited the show. NCIS: Los Angeles will return on Sunday, October 10.
