NCIS Hawaii Spoilers – Tony DiNozzo Has Not Appeared On NCIS Since The End Of Season Thirteen
NCIS viewers will remember that Tony hasn’t appeared on NCIS since he left the team at the end of season thirteen to take care of his little girl with Ziva David, (Cote de Pablo) who was presumed dead. She turned up alive later, but has not appeared again since 2019. She, Tony, and their little girl are presumed to be living happily ever after far away from NCIS land. In real life, Tony left because Michael got his own show on CBS, “Bull”, a drama based on the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw, the real life pop psychologist and talk show host.
The third NCIS spinoff, NCIS New Orleans’ cancellation was announced just days after the new spinoff NCIS Hawaii was announced. Although no cast has been announced for NCIS Hawaii and no cancellation announced for Bull, which is in its fifth season, fans are still hoping for DiNozzo to head up the Hawaiian team. Hopes were up after Ziva turned up alive that NCIS would continue to bring back characters who have left the NCIS fold if at all possible. DiNozzo has always been a fan favorite as was Ziva. It would be a wonderful paradise place for their little girl to grow up in, and Ziva would be away from all the Middle East tensions as well. Cote has not spoken out on the subject or on her possible availability, however.
NCIS Hawaii Spoilers – Tony DiNozzo Is A Legacy NCIS Character
The character of Tony DiNozzo is a legacy NCIS character, having been introduced in the pilot, which was actually an episode of JAG. Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) was also in that episode. Fans took to social media to express their desire to see DiNozzo, as well as other NCIS former characters in the new spinoff. One fan tweeted that Michael Weatherly was talking further #Tiva adventures, although the claim could not be substantiated. The same fan commented that if Bull is cancelled that this very special agent DiNozzo should head his own team on NCIS Hawaii.
DiNozzo had expressed interest in heading his own team at various times while still on the show. DiNozzo was always considered the ladies’ man on NCIS and the best looking male agent, until he fell in love with his NCIS partner Ziva. There was always fan gossip about something going on between the two of them, and whether it was written in because of show runners seeing fan gossip, or if it was something that was planned. Some sources have said that there was no plans to bring in any former characters or actors from any of the other NCIS shows, but that could always change by the time the show begins filming. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
