NCIS Hawaii spoilers tease that fans want to see Ziva David (Cote De Pablo) and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) as part of the new NCIS: Hawaii spinoff being worked on. But will fans get their wish?
NCIS: Hawaii Spoilers – Ziva David And Tony DiNozzo Have Been NCIS Fan Favorites
It is certainly true that the years that Ziva and Tony were on NCIS, that they were fan favorites. There was always that feeling that the two of them would give into their chemistry and get together romantically, but it was never confirmed until late in Cote De Pablo’s time on the show. It was only after Ziva was rumored killed that Tony found out he had a little girl, and he left NCIS to care for her. In reality, actor Michael Weatherly got his own show following NCIS on Tuesday nights, “Bull”, a show based loosely on the life of Dr. Phil McGraw, the popular pop psychologist who also consults on the show.
Ziva was later revealed to have survived, but had gone into hiding and then left again, after being revealed alive to the rest of the team. It is no wonder that fans would like to see the couple recreated on the new spinoff, NCIS: Hawaii. While no filming has yet taken place, Tony and Ziva being on the team would certainly bring the viewers! There has also been fan discussion that some of the cast of NCIS: New Orleans, which is in its last season, might move over to NCIS: Hawaii once things are set for filming to begin. The original NCIS has been on the air now for twenty years, itself being a spinoff from the then popular CBS Navy drama, “Jag”. The pilot for NCIS was a “Jag” episode.
NCIS: Hawaii Spoilers – Original NCIS Team Members Have Come And Gone, And There Have Been Two Spinoffs So Far
Longtime NCIS viewers will recall that the NCIS team on the original show has changed personnel frequently, with Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum) and Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) being the only original characters on the show, with Ducky only making occasional appearances now due to the actor’s advanced age. Some older viewers may remember McCallum as Illya Kuryakin on “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” There was an inside joke which made it onto an early episode of NCIS when Jethro was asked what Ducky looked like as a young man, and he replied “Illya Kuryakin”.

To this day, no one knows if it was scripted or if it was ad-libbed! So far, there have been two spinoffs of the original NCIS, one being the popular NCIS: Los Angeles, starring Chris O’Donnell as G. Callen and LL Cool J as Sam Hanna. NCIS: New Orleans, starring Scott Bakula as Special Agent Dwayne Pride will air its series finale on May 16, 2021. NCIS stands for “Naval Criminal Investigative Service” and it is a part of the real Navy.
One other potential spinoff about the Coast Guard was tested on NCIS: Los Angeles but didn’t make it into production. So far, the NCIS: Hawaii spinoff has been discussed but nothing firm on it has come from CBS. But there is a possibility of it coming to fruition, since they already have two other shows filming in Hawaii, namely, the reboots of “Magnum PI” and “Hawaii Five-O”.
Stay tuned to NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans, and keep checking NCIS spoilers frequently for all the latest news, updates and developments!
