NCIS Hawaii fans were devastated when CBS confirmed they had canceled the primetime drama after just three seasons.
The NCIS spinoff was proving wildly successful for the network in its Monday 10 PM timeslot, so the news of the shows cancellation shocked everyone, including the cast! Vanessa Lachey was totally blindsided by the news and shared a heartfelt note to her followers on social media.
After news boke that CBS cancelled NCIS Hawaii on April 26, fans had a well-deserved meltdown on social media. Vanessa Lachey took to her page to share her thoughts on the series ending, the primetime star was clearly just as upset about the news as NCIS fans.

Lachey wrote on her Instagram page, “Gutted, confused, blindsided. Grateful, confident, beloved fans! Processing this news and still being present with my family: I Love You all! Mahalo Nui Loa.”
Vanessa Lachey debuted on NCIS Hawaii as Jane Tennant when she show premiered in 2021. After the Hawaii show was established, Vanessa took her character Jane Tennant on the road and also appeared on NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles for special crossover events on CBS.
Even though NCIS Hawaii is over, that doesn’t mean we will never see Jane Tennant again. Lachey could be invited to appear on NCIS or NCIS Los Angeles again. Plus, the network does have the series NCIS Origins in the pipeline.
NCIS Hawaii – Fans Sign Petitions
NCIS Hawaii fans aren’t letting Vanessa and the cast go down without a fight though. There are already multiple petitions floating around the internet that are begging CBS to reconsider their decision and keep NCIS Hawaii on the air.
