NCIS: Los Angeles Spoilers – Callen Has Been Carrying Around An Engagement Ring

NCIS: Los Angeles viewers will recall that Callen has been carrying around an engagement ring for Anna for a while, and to have it on him when he receives his ex-girlfriend and CIA Agent Joelle Taylor’s (Elizabeth Bogush) severed finger via courier is the stuff of nightmares! But that is exactly what happened in the most recent new episode of the show. To catch up viewers, Anna deceived Callen – but for good reasons as far as she rationalized – and told him she was going to help set up something for a charity to help homeless people but instead she was on a different kind of mission entirely. Callen had tracked down Anna and she was with some other Russians including Anna’s ex-boyfriend to a house in a remote area.

She claimed she’d gone into hiding to protect the both of them – meaning herself and Callen – from Katya Vitkoya (Jana Kolesarova) and at the same time, she had been ordered to kill Katya, who it has now been revealed has kidnapped Joelle! When Anna left to search for Joelle, hoping to draw out Katya, her so-called friends instead clobbered Callen! To top it off, Callen himself had been trailed by a Department Of Justice special agent, Effie Carlson (Nicki Micheaux) who suspected him of being a Russian mole! However in the world would she have gotten that impression?!

NCIS: Los Angeles Spoilers: Chris O’Donnell Talks About Callen And His Distrust Of Anna Kolcheck

It is understandable why Callen may not trust Anna. O’Donnell says it has been hard enough for Callen to even get himself to a point where he would be ready to take such a big step in his life, that would affect his whole future. O’Donnell says that even though Callen is obviously in love with Anna, and feels it may be the right time for him to settle down and marry someone, he feels like the carpet has been pulled out from under him! He is slowly coming to the realization that Anna may not be who or what she appears to be, and he doesn’t know whether he can trust her or not!

At the same time, he has to put his personal questions aside and handle the situations at hand. This will lead Callen back to his old “lone wolf” ways out of necessity, while the rest of his NCIS team are left to help Anna’s father, the vodka loving Arkady Kolcheck (Vyto Ruginis) whose life is also in danger, all thanks to Katya! It will turn out to all be part of a much bigger puzzle that involves a high-level Russian mole, and will also be revealed to involve the missing in action NCIS Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt). She doesn’t always look to her own safety in order to look out for the greater good, and her team may have to rescue her this time, as they did once before when she took a trip back to Vietnam trying to help someone from her old squad and was captured. This will all play out over two episodes, on March 28 and April 4.
