NCIS: Los Angeles Spoilers – David Kessler Was Last Seen In Episode Five
Kessler was introduced in episode five of the current season, called “Raising The Dead”. Kensi had put away Kessler for such egregious crimes as human trafficking of minors before she joined the NCIS team, but he managed to get a presidential pardon nonetheless. Before being released from prison he had made threats against Kensi, both death threats and threats of a sexual nature, though not necessarily in that order. That makes Kessler one bad dude, and he has been classified as a sociopath on top of all that!
Deeks and Kensi were talking about Anna’s willingness to partner up with Russian operatives to kill a psychopath, Katya, who wants her dead and Kensi says regarding Anna that it’s either that or spending her whole life wondering when everything’s going to come crashing down and looking over her shoulder to see who’s behind her. But it brought up her fears of Kessler – she admitted to Marty that Kessler was still in her head, and he was right about his staying in her head! Kensi said there wasn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t wonder if she should just drop everything else to put an end to him.
Deeks seconded her on that, talking about Kessler hanging over their lives for months now, and remarked how he didn’t have to be torturing her physically to be torturing her mentally, right there in her head. He reminded her he loves her and they were trying to conceive a baby. The stress of Kessler being out there might be interfering with her ability to conceive.
NCIS Los Angeles Spoilers – Marty Deeks Wants To Hunt David Kessler Down
Marty continues, saying they could end the stress she is going through by hunting him down and dragging him back to prison. But Kensi reminds him it’s not as simple as that – he was pardoned, not escaped, and that makes him even more dangerous! They would have to wait for Kessler to make some kind of illegal move in order to bring him in, and no one knows what he is up to or where he is since his release. There aren’t even any parole or probation violations to bring someone in on when they’ve been pardoned! By the time he makes some kind of move, it could be too late!
With Marty Deeks all in on trying to hunt the elusive sociopath down and catch him in something illegal, it makes one wonder if he, rather than Kensi, may wind up being the one in danger from Kessler. Kidnapping one’s husband and leaving Kensi feeling helpless to intervene is a great way to torture Kensi. Kessler could simply make Marty disappear and no notes, no contact, no trace, no nothing! Kensi knows her husband wouldn’t simply bail on her but Kessler wouldn’t! Daniella Ruah, in a previous interview with TV Insider said that Kessler’s first episode may be setting up something that has frequently happened in the past; that later, when one least expects it, it all blows up in one’s face, and shocks the viewers!
