NCIS spoilers tease that in the next new episode of NCIS, called “Misconduct”, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) may be putting his career in jeopardy as he testifies against a financial adviser who made millions illegally off of his clients, who were all Navy personnel.
NCIS Spoilers – NCIS Director Leon Vance Visits NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs At His Home
NCIS viewers will remember from a couple of episodes ago that NCIS Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) was forced to suspend Gibbs due to his attack on the leader of a dogfighting ring. Gibbs couldn’t handle it emotionally when he found evidence that the man was putting dogs in a cage and drowning them in a pond on his property. As a result, he has a new furry roommate named Lucy, the one good thing that came from that case for Gibbs. Gibbs was a loose cannon on that case and even though no one could really blame him, he was expected to keep himself under control and not attempt to murder the dogfighting ring owner with his bare hands!
But now, another situation has arisen in which Vance is afraid he may not be able to mitigate the consequences to Gibbs’ career as he was with the dogfighting ring situation. Vance visits with Gibbs at his home and gives him a warning, that if he goes through with his testimony against a financial adviser who bilked his Navy clients out of millions, there would be no looking back. Gibbs tells Vance he’s sorry but he’s going through with it. Vance tells Gibbs that his career at NCIS could very well be over. Gibbs tells Vance it’s a chance he just will have to take. Courtroom scenes show Gibbs getting ready to give his testimony as a voice calls out “all rise”, and then Gibbs standing up and pointing out someone in the courtroom.
NCIS Spoilers – Special Agents Timothy McGee, Eleanor Bishop, And Nicholas Torres Are Back In The Field
NCIS viewers will remember that as a result of Gibbs’ suspension, Special Agents Timothy McGee, (Sean Murray) Eleanor Bishop, (Emily Wickersham), and Nicholas Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) had been assigned to another team where their investigative skills promised to be vastly underused as they were assigned Covid protocols enforcement duty. But in the process, they followed their guts and wound up solving a case their superiors on the team had been unable to!
Now, they appear to be back out on the field although who is taking Gibbs’ place as the team leader is uncertain from what is shown on the promo trailer. It can be assumed that McGee is taking up the slack since he is second in command to Gibbs. They are assigned to investigate the death of a biker killed as the result of a hit and run accident, and as in all NCIS cases, the biker must have had ties to the Navy or the Marines or they would not have been called in. The biker’s body is found at the side of the road, along with his motorcycle which is heavily damaged. Following the clues, Torres notices something strange as he looks over a silver car which may be the suspect vehicle!
