NCIS spoilers and updates reveals the American commercial broadcast television and radio network CBS has announced the arrangement for its 2021-22 TV season. It is the last to announce its schedule following NBC, Fox, and ABC. The Eye network has decided to do bold moves by reshuffling the schedule of its TV shows which included evicting NCIS from its traditional Tuesday time slot after 18 years.
CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl called the network’s major schedule reshuffling as “bold, strategic scheduling moves designed to strengthen nights and maximize flow across the week.”
Marking History
‘NCIS’ became CBS’ Tuesday lead-off scheduled at 8 pm for its entire 18-season. The network renewed the crime drama for its season 19 and for the first time it will be relocated to Mondays at 9 pm starting this fall.
This fall schedule shocker merged CBS’s most-watched series to Mondays so that it can pave the way for an all-FBI Tuesday lineup with mothership “FBI”, the new entry “FBI: International” and “FBI: Most Wanted.”
“We ware looking at this as a long-term scheduling move,” Kahl told Deadline. “How do you help a night? You help a night by moving the No. 1 drama there and use that drama to launch another show. Instantly, our Monday night becomes very very strong. Our Tuesday night becomes very strong,” he added.
