NCIS Spoilers – Leroy Jethro Gibbs Became Very Attached To His Little Neighbor
NCIS viewers will recall that Leroy Jethro Gibbs became very attached to his little neighbor in last years’ season seventeen. Phineas was a frequent guest in Gibbs’ home, being about the age his little girl Kelly Gibbs (Mary Matilyn Mouser) was when she and her mother Shannon Gibbs (Darby Stanchfield) died. Gibbs was also very friendly with his mother, a single mom named Sarah (Louise Burns). Sarah and Phineas were Gibbs’ next-door neighbors.
According to NCIS spoilers, Gibbs and Phineas became like father and son over a period of several weeks, which probably translated to months in real life, but then, when it became apparent that his former agent Ziva David (Cote De Pablo) was actually alive and had not perished, he found out that the enemy Ziva was running from was his next-door neighbor Sarah, real name Sahar!
Viewers will recall that Sahar had a battle to the literal death with Ziva – with Gibbs coming to Ziva’s rescue, shooting Sahar in the head! Then Gibbs was faced with the problem of how to tell Phineas who his mother really was and that she was dead. Phineas was so upset that Gibbs may not be able to continue taking care of him, that he ran away and Ziva helped Gibbs find Phineas and made sure he would be taken care of by a loving family, the foster parents who took him in after he was evacuated from an orphanage in Aleppo. Phineas obviously was very attached to Gibbs as well.
NCIS Spoilers – A Stolen Laptop Is Traced To Phineas’ Uncle

In the next upcoming episode of NCIS, “Unseen Improvements” NCIS must trace a stolen laptop, and it leads back to Phineas’ uncle, Hassan Sayegh (Pezh Maan), a Libyan gangster with cash to burn. Questions arise as to whether the laptop could also be tied to Sahar in some way and what implications there may be concerning it. A promo photo reveals Phineas pays Gibbs a visit at home, where he has a plate of scrambled eggs as Gibbs’ dog, adopted as a rescue from the bust of the dogfighting ring that got Gibbs suspended for beating up the suspect, begs at the table.
NCIS viewers will recall that after finding a cage with drowned dogs in it, Gibbs’ anger became uncontrollable at the man, Luke Stana (Max Adler) and he would have killed him with his bare hands had his team, Special Agents Timothy McGee, (Sean Murray) Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham) not pulled him off him! It would seem almost poetic justice that the child in a sense rescued from a family of terrorists would bond with the dog rescued from a cruel dog killer who ran a dogfighting ring.
Gibbs appears very animated as he talks to Phineas at the breakfast table with the dog laying its head on Gibbs’ knee. Phineas is likely not part of the case, although his birth father’s brother Hassan probably is!
