NCIS spoilers and updates tease NCIS fans have some questions-when is the touted Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) spinoff premiering? Is the streaming spinoff still in the works, or is it not, and when will it premiere?
NCIS Spoilers – The Planned Spinoff Will Be Streaming Only, On The Paramount Plus Network
As fall approaches, many fans are wondering if a premiere date for NCIS: Tony & Ziva is on the way, the spinoff having been announced months ago. While we’re all eager for it, the question remains: will it actually happen, is it still in the works?
Let’s take a moment to remember that several episodes of the Paramount+ spin-off have probably already been filmed and are in “the can” as industry jargon goes.
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo have been hard at work, and we can only hope they’re enjoying every moment of this journey.
The series is being shot in Europe, to deliver a narrative that feels fresh and distinct-the blend of action and humor that fans love will definitely be part of the mix.
NCIS Spoilers – Are We Close To A Premiere Date Being Announced?
Let’s circle back to that premiere date-we anticipate before the fall season wraps up, there’s a good possibility we might receive either a specific or rough start date for the spin-off.
A lot of this hinges on when the streaming service is ready to introduce Tony and Ziva; since the show isn’t packed with special effects, it won’t demand an extensive post-production process.
In our view, the timing of the premiere will ultimately depend on when Paramount identifies a gap in their schedule that allows for effective marketing.
With a considerable lineup of Taylor Sheridan shows set for the next few months, they might feel well equipped to handle this situation. But there are also other things to consider as well, for one thing, they may have additional episodes to be filmed!
NCIS Spoilers – NCIS Origins Is Soon To Premiere
They might consider holding off on promoting another show in the franchise until NCIS: Origins has aired a few episodes. Ideally, we’d love to see Tony and Ziva return before spring, with winter being the perfect time.
NCIS: Origins will be available on broadcast television, not just streaming, and serves as a prequel to the original NCIS, taking us back to the beginnings with Leroy “Jethro” Gibbs.
While Mark Harmon reprises his role in the premiere, Austin Stowell will play the younger version of Jethro, Kyle Schmid will portray young Mike Franks, and Robert Taylor will take on the role of Jackson Gibbs. The premiere of NCIS: Origins is set for October 14 on CBS.
