She said that they celebrated with a bottle of wine after they sent the kids to bed. They spent their time on their back porch and talked about their excitement for this new project. Vanessa recalled she gave Nick the biggest hug when he said the most supportive thing.
“He said ‘This is your time. And I will do whatever I need to do to support you in that. I’ve seen you work so hard. This is your time. Let’s go,’” Vanessa shared.
Nick was so supportive that they moved and sent their kids back to school at the Aloha State, Hawaii, where Vanessa films for the show.

Vanessa Lachey Expresses Love For Her New Role As Jane Tennant
The new CBS show successfully aired its pilot episode last week (September 20) and, as the first female lead, Vanessa Lachey expressed her love for her role.
As documented by Digital Spy, the female lead expressed how honored she is to be given such an opportunity to play the role as there are females in NCIS and she loves to take part in making it a norm.
She shared she will devote serious effort to a male-dominated profession. Her on-screen character, Special Agent Jane Tennant, is also a great mom that always puts her mind to her kids even at work, which is something Vanessa can relate to.
“At the end of the day, she’s a vulnerable woman who just wants to love. There’s a lot about her I love and that’s why I fell in love with this character,” she said.
In her latest Instagram post, Vanessa is delighted for the warm support of the viewers to “NCIS: Hawai’i.” She posted a photo of her standing on a rock with a beautiful ocean view in her background.
“I’m BLOWN AWAY!!! Thank YOU for making @ncishawaiicbs #1 in our time slot two weeks in a row! And the highest-watched new series!!! Mahalo from my entire team! We Love & Appreciate You! Check it out again on @paramountplus!”
