NCIS’ Star Brian Dietzen Confirms Jimmy Palmer Isn’t On ‘NCIS Hawaii’ Crossover

NCIS” star Brian Dietzen has confirmed his character Jimmy Palmer will not be in this year’s most awaited “NCIS – NCIS: Hawaii” crossover.
The crossover is set to air on March 28, and CBS’s recent press release confirmed only two NCIS agents Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) are heading to Hawaii.
“NCIS agents travel to Hawai’i to join forces with NCIS: HAWAI`I, when Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) tells them there’s a lead on a witness with crucial evidence from an old case NCIS worked on,” the press release says.
Fans were hyped up when “NCIS” star Wilmer Valderrama who plays as Torres dropped the announcement earlier this year. “Listen, I am headed off to Hawaii to shoot a crossover event,” he started the video.

His co-star Katrina Law who portrays Knight appeared on the video and said: “I’ve also got something to tell you… I’m coming to Hawaii too.”
“It’s going to be good being back on the island solving crimes,” she cheekily said, referencing her role in “Hawaii Five-O” as Quinn Liu.
NCIS Hawaii’s leading lady Vanessa Lachey then welcomed the duo: “Aloha, Wilmer and Katrina. Time to meet the best host.”
However, actor Brian Dietzen has confirmed his character Palmer will not be appearing in the one-off special in an interview with TV Line ahead of his writing debut in the CBS drama.
Dietzen revealed he was asked about the crossover and agreed to it however it came down to Valderrama and Law going. “So, no, not this season. But I’m holding out hope for next season,” he teased.
His co-star Diona Reasonover who portrays Kasie Hines also missed the chance to meet Jane Tennant and her team however she will appear in the crossover, but filmed the scenes from California and not from Hawaii.

The longtime actor on CBS’s series was given the opportunity to co-write Monday’s episode titled “The Helpers,” with writer/executive producer Scott Williams. Diezen’s character Jimmy Palmer and Reasonover’s Kasie were exposed to a deadly biotoxin while investigating the death of an intruder at Quantico.

The actor spoke with Entertainment Tonight’s Matt Cohen to talk about his experience as a writer. “I couldn’t be more proud,” he said referring to his experience.
Dietzen revealed it was the pandemic that caused him to reflect on what he wanted to do. “You see people switching their careers around a little bit or shifting their jobs and I am like, ‘I don’t want to leave this job, I love it. But if I can do something more as well…'” he revealed.
