NCIS Spoilers – NCIS Hawaii Is Definitely In The Works

Here are some details about NCIS: Hawaii that are known. Obviously, the show will be filmed in Hawaii, and it is planned to be filmed near Pearl Harbor. The show has been using the working title of NCIS: Hawaii, and may end up being called NCIS: Pearl. The announcement of the development of the new show was made in February 2021 and NCIS fans have been talking about it ever since. There is a good possibility that this NCIS team will be led by a woman, with the name “Jane Tennant” being talked about.

While there have been women in charge in NCIS, Jenny Sheppard (Lauren Holly) and NCIS: Los Angeles” Henrietta Lange (Linda Hunt) for instance, this would be the first woman to directly lead a team in the field, in the sense that Special Agents in Charge Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is on NCIS, Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) on NCIS: New Orleans, and Grisha “G” Callen (Chris O’Donnell) on NCIS: Los Angeles do.

To have a Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant would be groundbreaking for NCIS: Pearl. This would be a big step forward for the NCIS franchise. While it has not been confirmed that the new spinoff will begin as an episode of one of the other NCIS shows, it is always a possibility. NCIS: New Orleans will air its series finale on May 25, 2021 so it’s possible that some characters from that show may migrate to the new one, although it is not a certainty at this point.

NCIS Spoilers – Have Any Cast Or Production Personnel Been Confirmed?

NCIS viewers will recall that Mark Harmon is one of the executive producers of NCIS: New Orleans, and perhaps will have a hand in NCIS: Hawaii’s production as well. He has recently confirmed that he will not be leaving NCIS but it is possible that he may drop to recurring as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum) has since Jethro has recently been suspended. This, of course would not take place until the next season of NCIS, assuming it will be renewed – there has not been any announcements from CBS yet although the cancellation of NCIS: New Orleans was announced recently.

As far as who have been confirmed to be involved, according to Variety Magazine, Chris Silber, Matt Bosack and Jan Nash are all set to be executive writers and producers on the new NCIS show. Chris is currently showrunner as well as an executive producer of NCIS: New Orleans, as is Jan.

Matt currently writes for and supervises production on another CBS show, “Seal Team”. It is possible that once the new spinoff is “out of the can” as industry lingo refers to post-production as, it may take over the time slot of the cancelled NCIS: New Orleans. Fans will just have to watch and wait for official announcements!

Stay tuned to NCIS, and keep checking NCIS spoilers frequently for all the latest news, updates and NCIS Hawaii developments!
