Nightbirde, America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer Singer, Shares Heartbreaking News

Jane Marczewski Singer/songwriter Jane Marczewski, known professionally as Nightbirde, is best recognized for her appearance on the 16th season of America’s Got Talent. She earned a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell for performing her original song “It’s OK”.

At the time of her appearance on AGT, she revealed that she was battling with some cancer in her lungs, spine and liver with an expected 2% chance of survival.

According to her, she has battled with cancer three times. Nevertheless, she wants the world to know that the challenges haven’t made her give up on her dreams. I’m praying that she recovers, because I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the world.

America’s Got Talent – Nightbirde Withdraws From AGT To Focus On Her Health

America’s Got Talent favorite Jane Marczewski, who performs with the stage name Nightbirde, withdrew from the competition to focus on overcoming her condition, citing that her health was worsening since her performance on AGT.

“Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true,” she revealed the sad news on her Instagram page on August 2. “My point of view this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I’ve walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider.”

The 30-year-old singer, who amazed the audience with her voice and original song, went on to explain the reason why she dropped out of the race. “Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT.”

During her audition, Nightbirde earned a standing ovation, as well as a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell, for her moving performance. At the time, the Ohio native shared a very inspiring and uplifting message with the audience: “It’s important that everyone knows I’m so much more than the bad things that happen to me.”

In her Instagram post, which showed the singer newly bald, Nightbirde hinted at her future, telling fans that she is by no means going away. “Life doesn’t always give breaks to those who deserve it—but we knew that already…. Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams.”

She is currently signed to Next Level Recording and began releasing music in 2019. Her performance of the single “It’s OK” for Maple House Sessions reached the top ten in the U.S. digital songs chart and peaked in Australia and Canada.

America’s Got Talent returns To NBC On Aug. 10.
