Outlander’s Teaser Photo Hints Darker Fate For Roger

Outlander spoilers and updates tease that Roger may be facing a darker fate as per the recent teaser photo released ahead of the show’s sixth season. In the newly released image from season six, Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) can be seen wearing another 18th-century suit.

The latest snap was posted on the show’s Twitter page. It gives fans some hint on where the character is headed in the next season.

The photo’s caption read, “Roger may have gotten a little more history than he bargained for but he’s determined to find his place in the past. Fans can expect more drama to come as teased by the show’s executive producer Matthew B. Roberts. There will also be scenes taken from Diana Gabaldon’s sixth novel A Breath of Snow and Ashes.

The new season will pick up where Roger and Brianna ( ) left off in season 5. Fans may recall that they had an unexpected surprise during the season five finale. The pair and baby Jeremy tried to return to the 20th century but they ended up back at Fraser’s Ridge.

Fans will soon see them live through the American Revolution with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe). Viewers can expect the characters to face more challenges in the upcoming sixth season.

Season 6 will focus on the challenges and triumphs of the major characters of the show.

“There’s going to be a revolution with them as well, and I think that’s what’s going on throughout the season: You have a foundation, and when that foundation is shaken, and there is a revolution, you have to deal with it. That’s kind of the theme of the season,” Robert teased about the new story arc.

Outlander Spoilers – Season 6 Returns in 2022

The highly-anticipated show is set to air its sixth season on March 06, 2022. It’ll premiere on Prime Video in the UK and Starz in the US.

The upcoming season will be shorter than the previous ones. It only consists of eight episodes compared to the previous seasons, which were made up of 13 episodes.

Heughan assured fans that even if season six was shorter, the episodes will be longer, with the first episode running for about one hour and a half.

The actor said that the extra time makes the episodes really strong, not to mention the new characters that will be introduced in the coming season.
