Pat Sajak Is “Too Busy” To Mentor Ryan Seacrest
Pat Sajak has been enjoying retirement. He no longer has to film new episodes of Wheel of Fortune for the upcoming season.
He also has no interest in mentoring Ryan Seacrest even though the new host wants advice. Sources told Closer Weekly that Pat snubbed Ryan after they first met.
Ryan will take over the hosting duties in September. Pat wrapped up his long-running position in June. He wants to put those days past him. Pat has been enjoying time with his family.
“He’s too busy having fun with all this newfound free time he’s got,” an insider told Closer Weekly.

One insider noted that “Pat won’t interfere” with Ryan’s hosting duties. Pat Sajak feels “bitter” about Ryan Seacrest taking his place. The Closer source revealed that he was “clearly resentful of the way he was treated and then kicked off the show.”
“It seemed like a forced retirement, at least that’s what people were picking up,” the insider added.
Ryan Seacrest has big shoes to fill. He’s preparing to take on the biggest role in his life. Ryan has Pat’s number. But it doesn’t mean Pat will answer the phone. He’s using this petty move to prove he’s the better host.
“Pat’s always going to be busy or he’ll brush Ryan off with a neutral, ‘You got this,'” the insider added. “When Ryan takes over, Pat’s going to be watching and enjoying seeing how he fares in the hot seat which is full of challenges and not nearly as easy as he might think.”

Ryan Seacrest – Feels The Pressure
Ryan Seacrest is trying to win over Vanna White and the crew members. He’s making a bigger effort with Vanna, who misses Pat Sajak. As previous reports suggested, the two are struggling to get along.
“Ryan knows he’s got huge shoes to fill being a worthy replacement for Pat,” the insider added. “He’s in full Mr. Nice Guy mode, putting on the charm, lavishing Vanna and everyone else on the show with his homemade cooking, bringing treats and the occasional gift just because he thought they would like it.”
